Basically this light means that optimum braking performance cannot be relied upon. This puts you , your passengers and others at risk . Best to have it diagnosed and fixed .|||The ABS light should not be on under normal circumstances, it should only come on when there is a problem with in the ABS, keep in mind that this does not indicate a problem with brake pads, brake lines, brake fluid ( or the brake light itself would come on) or other parts of the car. It should probably illuminate when you have ignition on, then for about two seconds after start up. If it remains on, it most likely indicates a fault, but does not mean the ABS will definitely be inactive - you may find it to be a fault in the diagnostic system rather than the ABS system itself.

To my mind though, ABS failing is a good thing - I hate it, I can brake harder, and stop quicker without it, whether the road be wet or dry. ABS cutting in is an annoyance, though I recognise it helps a lot of people out of a lot of situations.|||NO. Have brakes checked and fluids.
