Are bikes with Anti-lock braking system (ABS technology) good to use?

Hi guys..i hv heard about bikes with ABS technology has launched in india like TVS Apache 180 ABS %26amp; Honda CBR 250...i searched nd found this technology prevents wheels from skidding...Is it good for indian roads?


Any other info regarding this technology will be helpful ty..|||abs is rubbish on loose gravel -mud- ice -snow it takes all the feel away when you are braking a good rider knows when to ease off the brake or apply more through feed back,





i have noticed that the riders who tend to fall off going down dirt tracks on their road bikes at rallys


are mostly the ones with abs,


there are talks going on in the EU to fit switches to bikes with ABS so it can be turned off ( now that says something)|||If you are newer to motorcycle riding ABS may be of value to you as it helps prevent skidding and the extra cost could be worth it.


I've ridden bikes with and without ABS and find the systems work as stated but I've also been riding bikes for close to 50 years and learned to brake without them, so to me the price factor says 'no thank you'.|||My BMW's ABS system works great.





While riders more skillfull than me may not need such a system, I like having the protection it provides again my rear wheel locking up.





It is one less thing I must think of when an emergency occurs on the road.|||been 'on' it for years and yes you have to learn to use it, but, you shouldn't ride ''to'' it as it's still down to tyre grip when the wotsits about to hit the fan or you!


No idea re Indian roads surely the Indians get out of the way?|||Anything that prevents your bike from locking up its wheels and causing you to lose control is DEFINITELY a good thing.
