'97 chevy lumina anti-lock brake system?

the anti-lock brake light in my chevy lumina is coming on when coming to slow stops, on perfectly dry pavement, on smooth surface. this car has apprx. 175k miles on it. when you push on the brake it acts just like it would if you were stopping on a wet road|||well if your abs light is coming, there is a problem with the system...do not unplug it...the abs system will needed to be scanned. This will give you an idea where to look...usually its an electrical problem, wheel speed sensor...if when braking you get a groaning sound and the brake pedal seems to jump up a little, the abs is engaging...the wet road reference sounds like the abs is engaging and scan it and do the necessary repairs.|||You can unplug the anti lock computer or spend $900 for a new one. A bad computer (abs) can lock up your brakes.|||whenever the abs light is on it typically means there is a fault in the abs system and the brakes will function as if there were no abs at all you remember the old days before abs? basically if you push the brakes hard enough they will lock up
