Could the anti lock Brake system lock up your gear shift?

I have a dodge charger R/t and the gear shift want move. when i get into the car i press down on the brakes and it still want move in to reverse. also the ABS light is on antilock brake system its been on for months now could that have locked up the gear shift? if so how do i get it fixed an if not what else could be wrong?|||find out why the light is on. It would probably be a bad brake switch.|||the brakes should,nt have anything to do with the gear shift.
